Abstract

Various studies indicate that the microbes play an important role (past and present) in sustaining soil health and restoring and enhancing forest resilience to climate change. Arresting climate change is hard to manage but those pertaining to water resources are found to be manageable if proper research input is given to understand its causes to formulate achievable policies. Stubble burning has a major impact on air quality on a short-term basis but its long-term impact on environment are to be understood. News content on climate is also more likely now than in the past to use public understating language and emphasizing its risk and danger. Now-a-days media framing plays an important role in fostering climate action in the public that is having a greater impact in addressing the pressing climate related issues. The seven papers in this issue cover these aspects at micro level from various regions with detailed case studies.
